Liposuction surgery is a body-sculpting procedure to remove fat that is unresponsive to dieting and exercising. Liposuction is a popular procedure in both men and women. While liposuction is best known as a fat removal procedure, it is also one of the best procedures to help a patient refine his or her shape. In fact, cosmetic surgeons often use liposuction to refine the results of other procedures, as no other technique allows for such detailed improvements in body contour. Areas affected can range from the abdomen, thighs and buttocks, to the neck, backs of the arms and elsewhere.
Both men and women undergo liposuction every year to achieve a variety of different goals. For men, liposuction can often successfully treat gynecomastia.
Liposuction techniques may be used to reduce localized fat deposits of the:
- Thighs and knees
- Hips and buttocks
- Abdomen and waist
- Upper arms
- Cheeks, chin and neckline
The results of liposuction will be long lasting. However, it is important to maintain a stable weight to ensure that your new look remains optimal. If you gain a significant amount of weight in the future, your overall appearance is likely to change as your body stores excess fat in other locations.
Our surgeons have more than 20 years of experience so our clients are in the best hands they could be. Their advanced medical equipment and knowledge to operate safely are basic for KENKO to partner with them. The success and safety of your procedure depends on excellent analysis and planning prior to the procedure. The Physicians will personally assist you through all the process, analyzing and helping you decide which treatment is best for your after a thorough examination.
During your liposuction recovery, a compression garment or elastic bandages may cover treatment areas once your procedure is completed. These help to control swelling and compress the skin to your new body contours. In addition, small temporary drains may be placed in existing incisions beneath the skin to remove any excess blood or fluid.
You will be given specific instructions that may include:
- How to care for the surgical site and drains
- Medications to apply or take orally to aid healing and reduce the potential for infection
- Specific concerns to look for at the surgical site or in your general health
- When to follow up with your plastic surgeon
One night at the hospital will be necessary (VIP or individual room with all types of facilities). A driver will pick you up the next day, and all organized tours will be planned assuming the limitations of the surgery. This means you can get the most out of your holidays in Spain without having to worry about planning or checking what you can or can’t do.
Combined Procedures with Liposuction
Liposuction can be performed alone or along with other plastic surgery procedures, such as:
- Breast reduction
- Tummy tuck.
